Formed in 1992, WANTFA is the largest agronomic grower owned and managed group in Western Australia, driving the adoption of sustainable, reliable and profitable broad acre cropping systems. WANTFA’s main principles are; No Till or Zero Till seeding system full residue retention, diverse rotations, reduced traffic (compaction) and promotion of soil health. We deal with W.A’s largest growers, the agricultural industry, universities and leading research institutes such as CSIRO. We collaborate with other grower groups within W.A. and form part of a national alliance of no tillage farming associations (Conservation Agricultural Alliance of Australia and New Zealand, CAAANZ).
WANTFA are considered leaders, pioneers and Innovators by the WA agriculture industry. WANTFA is widely known as a group that has a strong focus on conservation farming for the future.
We believe we offer real value to sponsors as our network of communications via field days, conferences, journal and rural media is second to none. Our motto of ‘farmers helping farmers’ means we have direct communication and interaction with the growers on the land and we offer our sponsors a connection to the country and promotion of your product/service direct to the farmers gate.
WANTFA events are well attended. Our Spring Field Day held each September and our Annual Conference held in March been the highlight on our members and the WA Agriculture industry calendar of events.
WANTFA members are asked to support our Industry partners wherever possible.
